Taking Action Against Antibiotic Resistance

As part of Get Smart About Antibiotics Week, on CDC's blog, Everly Macario shares her family’s story about losing their 18-month-old son, Simon, to the superbug methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA). Today at a Pew Charitable Trust “Supermom Against Superbugs” event in Washington, D.C. she will urge policymakers and the public to take action against antibiotic resistance and raise awareness about the importance of using antibiotics appropriately.
