LAKELAND, Fla. - Officials from Vanguard Medical Concepts, Inc., a prominent medical device reprocessor, announced the acquisition of Medical Instruments Technology, Inc., a Utah-based medical device reprocessor.
Vanguard will now be able to reprocess cardiac retractors and stabilizers, trocars, curved arthroscopic shavers and coated orthopedic blades.
"MIT has unique capabilities that further advance Vanguard's leadership position in the industry and complement our existing service platforms," Vanguard president and CEO Charles Masek says. "This development allows us to acquire leading orthopedic sharpening technology capable of reprocessing to sharpness even greater than the original device."
