APIC's IP Col-lab-oration Project Offers Webinar, Lab Guide

APIC's IP Col-lab-oration Project brings together leaders in infection prevention and the lab. APIC members gain the insight from the lab community to help deepen the knowledge and expertise for achieving better patient outcomes. This project is a collaboration between APIC and the American Society for Microbiology (ASM). For more information, visit the IP Lab Project website.

The webinar, "What Infection Preventionists Need to Know About the Laboratory" will be offered on  Aug. 23, 2012 at 3 p.m. EDT. The speaker is Ann Maher, MS, M (ASCP), CIC, infection preventionist at Childrens Specialized Hospital in New Brunswick, N.J.

It delivers updated and relevant information needed for infection preventionists to develop knowledge of lab protocols in an accessible and easy-to-read format. This reference guide is heavy with years of experience by cadre of active healthcare professionals contributing to the development of chapters, the peer review, and the production processes. The production of this guide has been made possible through the valuable contributions of Roche, an APIC Strategic Partner.

As part of the Building Bridges IP Col-lab-oration project, the electronic version of this book is available as a free download through Dec. 31, 2012. This initiative is funded by an unrestricted educational grant from Roche, an APIC Strategic Partner. Printed copies of this resource may be purchased through the APIC store.
