CHICAGO -- The American Society for Healthcare Environmental Services (ASHES) announced that September 7-13, 2003 is Environmental Services Week.
With the theme, "Outstanding People Creating a Clean and Safe Environment," Environmental Services Week recognizes the importance of environmental services and housekeeping departments showcasing their integral role in high-quality patient care, satisfaction and infection control practices.
Hospitals are encouraged to participate in Environmental Services Week by recognizing environmental services and housekeeping staff with special events and staff-wide recognition. This year, ES week products can be tailored with company logos.
