SOLANA BEACH, Calif-Officials at Futura Medical Corporation, a leader the sharps safety device industry, has entered a three-year product agreement with supply chain management leader Broadlane Inc.
The agreement, which took effect January 1, will potentially combine Broadlane's customer base of more than 300 acute care hospitals and more than 1,400 sub-acute care facilities and Futura's line of retracting safety scalpels.
Broadlane's customers include: Kaiser Permanente, Tenet Healthcare Corporation, Universal Health Services, Continuum Health partners, Community Health Systems, US Oncology, IASIS Healthcare, and MedCath Inc.
Futura manufactures the only automated retractable scalpel on the market.
