Help Reduce Sharps Injuries

Article

Via a Series of Posters

KEENE, NH-A series of nine posters promoting healthcare worker safety by dramatizing ways in which clinicians can reduce sharps injuries are available through SIMS Portex Inc. At no cost to clinical work places, the posters are produced in a triple series of three different placards. The posters have been designed for display in work areas to encourage personnel to concentrate on needles and sharps safety.

Sue Slavish, President of the Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology (APIC), said, "This poster series, underwritten by SIMS Portex Inc., is a logical step in the company's long history of educational programs and products that reduce needlestick and other sharps injuries in the work place."
