Spectra254 Exhibits Its Pathogen-killing Solutions at Medical Laboratory Expo

Article

Spectra254 exhibited its UVC light decontamination systems at the American Association for Clinical Chemistry (AACC)’s 2015 Annual Meeting & Clinical Lab Expo in Atlanta, held July 26-30, at the Georgia World Conference Center.

Spectra254’s exhibit at AACC’s Annual Meeting & Clinical Lab Expo featured its complete line of disinfection solutions, including the Spectra 600 Series solutions for post-acute care, the RDS-30 Series for diagnostic tools and electronics, the Spectra 1000 Series for hospitals, and the Spectra 500 sanitizing system for emergency vehicles.

“Our solutions protect people in hospitals, clinics and laboratories by achieving a 99.98 percent efficacy in killing pathogens,” says Sanford Green, Spectra254’s senior executive. “Spectra254 was thrilled to showcase its comprehensive disinfection solutions to laboratory professionals at this year’s AACC Annual Meeting & Clinical Lab Expo.”

The Spectra254 systems to be exhibited at the AACC’s Annual Meeting & Clinical Lab Expo have been independently tested by a GLP-accredited laboratory and found to be 99.98 percent effective in killing surface and air pathogens, including MRSA, CRE, C. difficile spores and other bacteria. A June 2015 independent laboratory study shows a 99.99 percent efficacy rating for the Spectra 1000A Series in eliminating C. difficile spores and an Ebola surrogate in the air and on surfaces at a distance of five feet in five minutes.

Spectra254 UVC light decontamination systems use high-intensity UVC light to eliminate pathogens on surfaces. The company offers a practical approach to UVC disinfection in healthcare and related markets, developing multiple systems that are independently tested, easy to use and offer an expanded set of features, functions and benefits normally reserved for systems at a much higher price.
