Article

MENTOR, Ohio -- STERIS officials have acquired Hamo Holding AG, of Pieterlen, Swizerland.

Hamo is a washer/decontamination system provider to the healthcare and pharmaceutical industries. The company's 2002 revenues were 59 million Swiss francs, or $43 million U.S. dollars. STERIS officials say the acquisition will help strengthen their share of the European sterilization market and grow their business outside of the United States.
