Jabir Al Sooti, CIC, CRCST

Jabir Al Sooti is a senior specialist infection preventionist at the Ministry of Health’s Center for Disease Control and Prevention in Oman. He currently serves as head of the Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) Standards Section, where he leads the development and implementation of national IPC standards and best practices.

Previously, Al Sooti headed the Sterilization Section and the Environmental Hygiene Program of the department, advancing Oman’s national framework for health care facility safety and hygiene. He also serves as a national trainer and auditor for CSSD, Endoscopy, and Environmental Hygiene programs, ensuring consistent quality and compliance across the country’s health care system.

As a respected national resource speaker, Mr. Al Sooti contributes to the drafting of key IPC guidelines, policies, and procedures, and provides expert guidance to health care professionals on infection prevention and sterilization practices. His leadership continues to strengthen Oman’s infection prevention infrastructure and patient safety culture.
