Noel S. Gonzaga is a senior specialist in environmental infection control at the Ministry of Health’s Center for Disease Control and Prevention in Oman. In his current role, he steers the Environmental Infection Control Program and serves as a national trainer and auditor for CSSD, Endoscopy, and Environmental Hygiene programs.
Gonzaga plays a key role in drafting national guidelines, policies, and procedures that shape Oman’s environmental hygiene standards across healthcare facilities. As a respected national resource speaker, he actively promotes evidence-based infection prevention practices and continuous professional development.
Before joining the Central Infection Control and Prevention Department, he worked with the Ministry of Health’s Department of Environmental and Occupational Health, where he led initiatives to strengthen health care waste management nationwide. His leadership in the National Healthcare Waste Management Program continues to advance Oman’s commitment to sustainable and safe health care environments.
