MUNDELEIN, Ill. -- Medline Industries, the nations largest privately held manufacturer and distributor of health care supplies, recently won a new three-year national agreement to offer silver wound care dressings to members of Premier Purchasing Partners, LP., one of the nations largest healthcare group purchasing organizations.
The agreement will provide cutting edge silver wound-care products at significant savings to Premiers group purchasing membership of nearly 1,500 hospitals nationwide. The contract further strengthens Medlines position as a leading provider of advanced wound care products to the U.S. healthcare marketplace.
The agreement, effective Jan. 1, 2005, covers numerous silver products, used in the treatment of chronic wounds including Medlines controlled-release silver products SilvaSorb and Arglaes®.
Medline now has more than 50 wound-care product specialists supporting our sales force and available to help Premier members. In addition, Medline has more than 750 sales representatives as well as on-staff clinical specialists and registered nurses, who assist in implement standardization and utilization programs.
