Carol A. Norville, BSN, RN is a Manager of Clinical Specifications for Sentara Healthcare.  Sentara Healthcare is a non-profit health system serving Virginia and North Carolina, with 12 hospitals, 1 Hospital for Extended Recovery, 7 Nursing Centers, Home Health, Hospice, multiple physician practices and outpatient ancillary services. Carol has 38 years of nursing  experience including Med/Surg, Neonatal ICU, Adult Critical Care, and ED staff and management positions.  Her current role is to assist the system in the review and analysis of supplies and equipment to support Sentara’s clinical initiatives in a cost effective manner.

Karen M. McGoldrick, MT (ASCP), is an Infection Preventionist at Sentara Leigh Hospital in Norfolk, VA. Sentara Leigh is one of two Acute Care Facilities first in the world to obtain DNV-GL MIR (Managing Infection Risks) Certification. Karen has nine years of experience in the field of Infection Prevention & Control, 3 years at Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center and 6 at Sentara Leigh. Karen is an active member of the Association of Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology (APIC), the APIC-Virginia Chapter of which she just completed serving as the 2017 Chapter President, and the local Hampton Roads Infection Preventionists. Karen holds degrees from Texas A&M University and the University of Texas at Tyler.
