An analysis of the genome of a superbug has yielded crucial, novel information that could aid efforts to counteract the bacteriums resistance to an antibiotic of last resort. The results of the research led by scientists from The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth) are published in the Sept. 8 issue of the New England Journal of Medicine.
